The Watsonian International: A Classic Sidecar Reborn

The Watsonian International sidecar debuted in 1938 with a lightweight, all-aluminium body. However, World War II halted production, and it wasn’t until 1950 that the International was finally available to the public. To showcase its sporty capabilities, the sidecar was entered in the International Six Days Trial at Llandrindod Wells that same year. Watsonian even took things a step further, with their management team (Ron Watson and Cliff Bennett) regularly competing in trials events with an International outfit during the early 1950s. This served as a promotional campaign to highlight the sportier side of sidecars.

Built for the road, the new International boasts a fiberglass body for easy cleaning and long life. Matching mudguards come with integrated indicators and a taillight. For storage, a roomy locker hides under the bench seat, swallowing your baggage with ease.

The sidecar itself rides on our trusted platform chassis, built with tough tubular steel and a protective powder coat. Hydraulic suspension smooths out the bumps for a comfortable ride, while the 16-inch wheels with stainless steel spokes add a classic touch.
